A contract award is a UK award notice classified as defence-relevant: one release tagged as an award on Find a Tender or Contracts Finder. Award updates and contract changes aren't counted again. An award belongs to the month of its award date, or of its publication date when no award date is given. Known value adds the values buyers published; many publish none, so the true total is higher. Companies are counted, not named. Renewal dates are the contract end dates buyers published. UK only; EU data is excluded. Figures update as notices arrive, so past months can change.
