Pricing
We don’t price against other software; we price against what one contract is worth to you. Bidding already costs 1–3% of contract value — £5,000–£15,000 of effort every time, win or lose. DefenceLens makes sure that money is only ever spent on tenders you can actually win. Stop one doomed bid and we’ve paid for ourselves; win one extra contract and the return is twenty-five times the subscription.
Every new account starts with 30 minutes of full access — see everything before you decide.

Annual first
Defence companies budget annually, and so do we. Annual prices are the anchors; Operator has a monthly option at roughly a 20% premium over the year. Capture and Prime are annual-only, with PO and 30-day invoice terms as standard, and three-year terms are available with a discount.
Per company, not per seat
Intelligence is only useful if your whole team sees it. Each tier includes a seat allowance rather than per-user pricing that punishes sharing.
Official data
Sourced from the UK Find a Tender service under the Open Government Licence v3.0 — plus EU defence notices from TED on Prime — classified with our defence-specific model. See the live data before you spend a penny.
Frequently asked questions
- Where does the data come from?
- UK notices come from the UK Find a Tender service — the official home of UK public procurement — under the Open Government Licence v3.0. EU defence notices (a Prime feature) come from TED, the official journal of EU procurement, scoped to Directive 2009/81/EC and defence CPV codes. We scan both every 30 minutes and classify each notice with a defence-specific model (defence CPV codes, a whitelist of defence buyers, and domain keywords).
- Do prices include VAT?
- Prices are shown excluding VAT. UK VAT at the prevailing rate is added at invoicing where applicable.
- Can we pay by purchase order and invoice?
- Yes. Capture and Prime are annual-only, invoiced with PO references and 30-day payment terms as standard, and Operator can be invoiced annually on request. Operator also has a monthly card option at £412/month — about 20% more over a year than paying annually. CSV export is included on annual plans.
- Is there a free trial?
- Every new account starts with 30 minutes of full access — everything unlocked, no card required. After that, the free Scout tier keeps live match counts for any search.
- Can we cancel?
- Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled any time and end at the close of the billing month. Annual plans run to the end of the term and simply don't renew if you tell us before the renewal date.
- What counts as a user?
- A named colleague with their own sign-in. We price per company with a seat allowance per tier (Operator 3, Capture 10, Prime unlimited) rather than per-seat pricing that punishes sharing intelligence with your team. Your company gets a team page with an invite link — colleagues join on your plan in one click, watchlists are shared across the team, and the owner can remove leavers instantly.
